Transversalis. Between the decrease border of this muscle and Pouparts ligament,an area is left by which is seen the fascia transversalis. The inguinal or spermatic canal incorporates the spermatic wire within the male, andthe spherical ligament within the feminine. It's an indirect canal, about an inch and ahalf in size, directed downwards and inwards, and positioned parallel with, and alittle above, Pouparts ligament. It commences, above, on the inner abdominalring, which is the purpose the place the wire enters the spermatic canal; and termi-nates, under, on the exterior ring. It's bovmded, in entrance, by the integumentand superficial fascia, by the aponeurosis of the Exterior indirect all through itswhole size, and by the Inner indirect for its ou.ter third; behind, by thetriangular ligament, the conjoined tendon of the Inner indirect and Transver-salis, transversalis fascia, and the subperitoneal fats and peritoneum; above, bythe arched fibres of the Inner indirect and Transversalis ; under, by the un
