The liner membrane of the lateral ventricles is sustained by theforamen of Monro into the third ventricle, and extends alongside the iter a tertiointo the fourth ventricle. The foramen of Monro is a foramen by which every lateral ventricle communi-cates with the third ventricle. It's fashioned by the anterior extremity of the bodyof the fornix, which, dividing into its two crura, arches downwards in entrance of theanterior extremity of the optic thalami; the crus shouldn't be, nonetheless, involved withthe thalamus, however an interval is left between the 2, which is the foramen ofMonro.
