Cowpers glands are located instantly beneath the membranous portion ofthe urethra, shut behind the bulb and beneath the artery of the bulb. The pudic vessels and dorsal nerve of the penis are positioned alongside the innermargin of the pudic arch (pages 637 and 847). The artery of the bulb passes transversely inwards, from the interior pudicalong the bottom of the triangular ligament, between the 2 layers of fascia,accompanied by a department of the pudic nerve (web page 849). view. This muscle, with the triangular ligament in entrance and the Coccygeus andPyriformis behind, closes the outlet of the pelvis. The Levator ani and Coccygeus muscular tissues have already been described (web page459)- Place of the Viscera on the Outlet of the Pelvis.—Divide the central tendinonspoint of the perinseum, separate the rectum from its connections by dividing the fibresof the Levator ani, which descend upon the perimeters of the prostate gland, and draw the gutbackwards in direction of the coccyx, when the underneath floor of the prostate gland, the neckand base of the bladder, the vesiculis seminales, and the vasa deferentia can be uncovered. The prostate gland is a pale, agency, glandular physique which is positioned immediatelyin entrance of the neck of the bladder, across the graduation of the urethra. It isplaced within the pelvic cavity, behind and beneath the symphysis pubis, posterior to thedeep perineal fascia, and rests upon the rectum, by way of which it might be distinctlyfelt, particularly when enlarged.
